You really shouldn't bash Chapel Hill when so many would kill to go there. I pray that everything works out with Northeastern for you but keep in mind that you do have options,
Aahg okay I really do need to get this straightened out.
I am genuinely happy to have been accepted into Chapel Hill. It is a well respected institution with a superb reputation for excellence, and it make my parents proud.
That said, I’d trade all 5 of my other acceptance letters in a heartbeat for the money to go to Northeastern. What I’m really intending to bash is our society, our fucked up economy and ‘the-way-things-are’. That is what I hate.
There are things I dislike about UNC and about many other schools I didn’t even apply to but what I HATE is the situation myself and hundreds of thousands of other hard working 18 year olds are placed in now. A situation we had no hand in creating but one we will hopefully be able to reshape and change in 2012 and beyond.

And I am finally seeing
Why I was the one worth leaving
You don't reject Chapel Hill. As someone who comes from Boston and got accepted to Carolina, believe me when I say UNC will give you better opportunities than any Boston school. Be grateful.
..be grateful? Of what exactly my friend? The fact that I’ve worked harder in the past four years than the other 67% of applicants who don’t get in? That even though I’m not in the top 10% of my graduating class I was accepted over those who are because I can write a hell of an admissions essay and because of glowing recommendations that teachers offered to write for me? Should I really be grateful that I worked my ass off and did everything “right” only to find out that since I do not come from a destitute family or a previously persecuted race, I can not afford to follow the dreams that I have earned?
